6 "Must-Use" Tools and How I Use Them.

These are a MUST

Happy sunday!

I have been dealing with some personal stuff this week…

I didn’t post on Threads for about 3 days and I haven’t been able to write on this weeks newsletter.

I apologize for that.

For that reason, todays newsletter will be a shorter one.

6 "Must-Use" Tools and How I Use Them.

NOTE - None of these links are affiliated

1.) Beehiiv

If you haven’t noticed already, this is my email provider I use to send out my newsletters.

It’s simple to build, write and send out.

I use the free plan currently, but I plan to upgrade to a paid plan when I get more subscribers.

There’s of course a couple of negatives on the free plan, but it’s expected - You can’t get everything for free.

The analytics are very limited, you can’t send welcome sequences and you can’t remove the “Made with Beehiiv” in your mail.

But all of these things can be fixed by upgrading to a paid plan, which I plan to do.

2.) Payhip

This is where I sell my only Threads guide - Threads Mastery

It’s free to use and does the job.

I actually like the website you can build on Payhip, especially when it’s completely free.

Payhip does take a small fee on earnings tho, they take 5% on every sale - If you have the free plan.

5% isn’t that much when you compare it to other alternatives - Gumroad, takes 10% of your earnings for example.

3.) ChatGPT

This shouldn’t be a surprise anymore that most creators use ChatGPT for various things.

It’s a Powerhouse.

I use it for many things but mainly for research and ideas.

Example 1 of how I use ChatGPT:

I tell ChatGPT about myself and what I do, then I tell it to list problems what my ideal audience can experience. This leads me to get new perspectives on problems that I might not have known before. You should try it!

Example 2:

I show my best performing posts and then I tell it to come up with 10 new ideas related to my best performers. Some of these ideas isn’t that good but some are actually very interesting.

Learn to use ChatGPT to your advantage, not to your disadvantage.

Do NOT use it for replies, I repeat, DO NOT use it for replies.

4.) Kortex

Kortex is relatively new.

Kortex is a platform almost like Notion.

“A Second Creators Brain” is their slogan.

Think of Notion but designed specifically for writers.

I like to use Kortex to help me with writing my newsletters.

I can make a detailed outline of newsletter post in minutes.

The creator - Taylor Simmonds, says this about Kortex:

“Kortex is like if Google docs, Notion, and Obsidian had a baby. All of my ideas, highlights, and past writing are finally in one place.”

Funfact: Dan Koe is a co-founder of Kortex.

Blacktwist is a Threads-connected app.

Blacktwist has features like detailed Threads analytics, post-scheduler, place to write posts and more.

When I want to schedule a post, I always do it with Blacktwist

Have you seen the tag Threads100 when scrolling on Threads.

Blacktwist is the creator and hoster of the “Threads100” challenge.

A challenge where creators get points for every day they make a post - There’s even a leaderboard for this.

Blacktwist offer a free plan, but it doesn’t include every feature.

6.) Canva

I use Canva for all my designs and visuals.

I used Canva for different things for at least 5 years, it’s amazing how much you are able to do for free!

I’m not really great at designs but Canva make it so easy.

Literally everybody can make something look good inside Canva.

Thank you for this one!

I know todays letter was short and not very deep.

But as I’ve said, I’ve been dealing with some personal stuff this week.

Next week’s letter will be better hopefully!
