Stuck between 0 to 100 Followers? Read this

3 steps to hit 100 followers

READ TIME: 3 Minutes / Read on my website

Happy sunday Creator.

I know that many of you are in stuck in “Beginner hell”

Where everything you do just feels wrong and you feel like your progress is zero.

I know how it feels, I’ve been there.

13 months ago, I was ready to quit Threads after posting for 2 weeks with consistency.

The results? I got in total 7 likes and 5 followers.

I remember I was so mad. I really wanted to quit. BUT.

I didn’t. I actually kept going and now 13 months later:

  • 160+ newsletter readers

  • Amazing community

That’s why-

I want to share what I would do to hit 100 Followers ASAP and escape “Beginner hell”

So if you’re between 0-100 followers, read this.

The #1 Focus When You Have 0 Followers

At 0 followers, your only goal is to get seen and get your name in front of people.

Most beginners make the mistake of posting content and waiting for followers to come.

That doesn’t work when you have no audience.

Instead of waiting for people to find you…

You need to go find them.

How? By engaging. When you have under 100 followers:

  • Engagement = Growth.

  • Content = Trust.

At this stage, engagement matters more than content.

Step 1: Engage First, Post Later (Day 1-3)

At 0 followers, nobody is waiting for your content. So instead of posting first, spend 3 days engaging before you even write a post.

  • Find 10-15 people in your niche.

  • Leave thoughtful comments on their posts.

  • Reply to other comments (don’t just engage with the creator, engage with their audience).

Example of a weak comment:

"Great post!" (Nobody notices this.)

Example of a strong comment:

"This is so true. I tried this last month and saw a big difference. One thing that also worked for me was..." (Adds value + sparks a conversation.)

Why this works:

  • The creator might like or reply to your comment, exposing you to their audience.

  • Other commenters will see your reply and check out your profile.

  • This builds instant visibility before you even start posting.

Step 2: Post First Pieces of Content (Day 4-5)

Now that people have seen your comments, it’s time to give them a reason to follow you.

  • Post 3 simple, valuable pieces of content.

  • Use short posts that are easy to read.

  • Make each post either relatable, helpful, or interesting.

3 Easy Content Ideas for Beginners:

1️⃣ Document Your Journey

Example:

“I just started my journey to grow my audience. I’ll be sharing everything I learn along the way. If you’re also trying to grow, let’s connect!”

2️⃣ Share a Small Win or Lesson

Example:

“Just from engaging for 3 days, I already got 5 new followers. Lesson learned: Growth isn’t just about posting—it’s about showing up in conversations.”

3️⃣ Ask a Question to Spark Engagement

Example:

“What’s the biggest struggle you’ve had growing your audience? I want to learn from others!”

Why this works:

  • People who saw your comments now see your content.

  • It gives them a reason to follow you.

  • Questions encourage engagement and replies.

Keep Engaging, Keep Posting (Day 6-7 & Beyond)

Now, combine posting and engaging for maximum growth.

  • Engage for 30 minutes a day.

  • Post at least 3x per day.

  • Reply to every single comment on your posts.

Growth Breakdown:

✅ Engagement brings people to your profile.
✅ Content gives them a reason to follow you.
✅ Replies create relationships, leading to even more engagement.

Avoid this Mistake:

Trying to “Teach” Instead of Being Relatable

❌ Thinking you need to sound like an expert from Day 1.
❌ Posting generic “how-to” content that nobody cares about.
❌ Acting like a guru instead of documenting your journey.

How to Fix: Document, don’t teach. Share what you’re doing, learning, or testing.

Goal: Be a relatable guide, not a lecture professor.

Final tips

  • Focus on engaging more than posting.

  • Leave high-quality comments that start conversations.

  • Don’t try to be a teacher, just document your journey.

  • Keep your posts simple and easy to read.

  • Be patient, the hardest part is the first 100.

Once you hit 100 followers, growth gets easier.

People start noticing you. Engagement compounds.

That’s it for today! Thanks for reading this far.

Make sure to implement these tips and steps and you will soon be at 100 followers.

See you next week.
