Happy Sunday Creators!
Unlike the "traditional" social media platforms, Threads focuses on text and conversation, making it PRIME real estate for building trust with your audience. And trust, my friends, is the key to successful monetization.
In this newsletter, I’ll share the 3 most common ways to earn money from Threads.
Grab your potatoes and enjoy 👇️
Method 1: Digital Products
You’ve probably seen or even bought Threads Unleashed or Threads to Millions. These are good examples of how a simple digital product can generate income.
Here's the deal: Digital products are a GOLDMINE on Threads. They're high-profit, super easy to distribute, and can be delivered instantly. Plus, if you put in the time and effort to create a stellar product, people will happily pay for it.
What kind of digital products work on Threads?
E-books: Share your expertise in a downloadable guide.
Templates: Create customizable templates for content creation, project management, or anything else your audience needs.
Online Courses: Teach your skills in a structured, self-paced learning environment.
Presets: Offer photo or video editing presets for a consistent aesthetic.
Guides: Develop how-to guides or lists for your audience!
How to start:
Identify Your Audience's Needs: What problems are they facing that you can solve with a digital product? Poll them. Read their comments. Ask questions.
Create a High-Value Product: Don't just slap something together. Focus on quality and delivering REAL results.
Promote Your Product Strategically: Create engaging Threads that showcase the benefits of your product. Use a clear call to action (CTA) to drive traffic to your sales page. Consider running a limited-time promotion or discount for your audience.
Best Practices:
Build an Email List/Newsletter: Offer a free lead magnet (i.e checklist) in exchange for their email addresses. This allows you to nurture your audience and promote your products more effectively.
Use Testimonials and Social Proof: Showcase positive feedback from paying customers to build trust.
Provide Excellent Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries promptly and address any concerns.
QUICK PAUSE
To earn money from Threads, you NEED an audience. Big or small it doesn’t matter, but you NEED an audience.
Building an audience from scratch is HARD, especially for someone with no past experience. It can take anywhere from 3-24 months to build a starting audience.
Well, not for you, this is your lucky day:
I’ve spent the last 3 months building something that will help new Threads Creators build their audiences,
FAST
It’s called Threads Mastery
✅ A complete guide which teaches you everything about building an audience on Threads.
✅ I share the SAME strategies that I used to go from 0 to 12k+ followers. (Crazy right?!)
✅ You get access to 14 months of Threads experience instantly.

Method 2: Affiliate Marketing/MRR
This is something that I’ve actually done in the past.
Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to make money on Threads. It's all about earning a commission by promoting other companies' products or services.
It’s actually low barrier to entry, since there’s no need to create your own products. So what's not to love?
How to Implement:
Choose the Right Affiliate Programs: Select programs that align with your niche and target audience. Don't just recommend anything just to make a quick buck.
Promote Products Authentically: Don't blindly promote products. Share your genuine experiences and recommendations.
Use Disclosure: Be transparent about your affiliate relationships. Your audience will appreciate your honesty. Plus, the FTC requires that you do so on all social media platforms. (I ignored so you can too)
Best Practices:
Focus on Providing Value: Share helpful tips, resources, and reviews. You'll become a trusted resource with this approach.
Use a Variety of Content Formats: Mix up your Threads to keep your audience engaged. Share a review, a list of products, an explainer, and so on!
Track Your Results: Monitor your clicks, conversions, and earnings. Pay attention to which products resonate most with your audience.
Method 3: Brand Partnerships & Sponsored Content
This is the most advanced one, you need an aligned audience. MINIMUM 3-5k followers.
This is something that comes with time, the goal is to get seen by many different brands and try to convince them to a partnership.
This isn’t something I’ve currently done, so I can’t speak from experience. But I know some general tips.
Brand partnerships and sponsored content can be very fruitful relationships, given that the business aligns with the quality you strive to deliver in your content.
You'll collaborate with the business to create content that promotes their products or services to your audience.
How to Implement:
Build a Strong Brand: Focus on creating valuable content and engaging with your audience. Brands will want to work with creators who will deliver value to their customers!
Reach Out to Brands: If you don't want to wait, reach out to related brands yourself with a professional pitch and media kit!
Negotiate Fair Compensation: Research industry standards and negotiate a rate that reflects the value you provide.
Best Practices:
Be Selective: Only partner with brands that align with your values and audience. Otherwise, promoting a service or product you don't believe in is harmful.
Maintain Transparency: Disclose that your content is sponsored! Just like with affiliate marketing, your audience will praise and appreciate your honesty and transparency.
Create High-Quality Content: Deliver content that is engaging, informative, and authentic. Brands will be more inclined to pursue a relationship if you have proven your dedication to posting quality content.
Conclusion
To recap, we touched on:
Digital products,
Affiliate marketing, and
Brand partnerships!
If I were you, I would go with 1 or 2.
