Let’s forget about that for a second or two!

In todays Newsletter, I want to share what I think is the 3 biggest reasons why Creators struggle to grow on Threads.

EVEN while posting 3x/day - as I recommend.

Let’s begin.

Not creating high-quality content

Posting 3x/day SHOULD be enough to grow, regardless of how who you are. If it’s not working, the issue is likely the quality of your content.

High-quality content = Providing value + Effective writing

Here’s how to improve your content:

Write Like You Talk: Keep your sentences short, punchy, and conversational. The easier your content is to read, the more engagement it’ll get.

Craft Irresistible Hooks: The hook is the first thing people read. If it’s bad, your entire post is wasted. Spend time perfecting your hooks—I dedicate 5-15 minutes to mine.

4 quick tips to write good hooks:

  • Use a LOT of whitespace

  • Include NUMBERS, they are easy to digest

  • Read the hook out loud so you can hear if it reads well

  • Build a curiosity-gap with each hook

Example

  • Bad hook: “How to lose weight.”

  • Good hook: “Lose weight in 30 days by doing this exercise for 15 minutes a day.”

Provide Value: This is THE #1 factor to Threads growth.

Valuable content helps your audience, builds trust, and creates meaningful connections.

It’s the easiest way to grow on Threads.

Providing value can be done by sharing knowledge, tips, insights, stories, case-studys etc.

ANYTHING that your audience finds VALUABLE.

The best way to present value is through long-form Threads, since there’s no cap on how many words you can write.

When you consistently provide value to your audience, you’ll start to stand out.

Your audience will think: “I need this person in my feed.”

-Which leads them to start following you.

No one wants to follow accounts that’s not giving them any value back.

Example:

People follow fitness creators because they want tips about fitness and health.

People follow finance gurus because they want finacial tips.

Having an unattractive profile

Your profile is like a digital handshake—it’s often the first thing people see. If it’s messy, unclear, or unattractive, people will leave before they even check out your content.

Here’s some quick tips on how to fix it:

Profile Picture:
  • If you show your face: Use a clean, high-resolution close-up of yourself. Smiling into the camera works wonders (if you are comfortable with it).

  • If you’re faceless: Use your brand logo.

  • Bonus tip: Add a colored background to make your profile picture pop in the feed.

Write a Clear, Impactful Bio:

Think of your bio as a promise to your audience. It should tell people who you are, what you do, and how it benefits them.

If you don’t know what to write in your BIO.

Use this formula:

Who you are + What you do + How it helps others

I want to share 2 profiles that I think NAILS their profile.

Creator 2:

Pin Your Best Content:

Your pinned post is like a big billboard on the main highway. It’s prime real estate to win trust and show value.

Here’s what you can pin:

  1. A personal story: Share who you are and a life-story.

  2. A value-packed thread: This should be your most valuable post ever (best alternative IMO).

  3. A viral post: This works for social proof (flexing).

Here’s what I have:

It’s a long-form post that provides TONS of value. The point is to build trust and build a connection immedietly.

Not showing enough personality

In a sea of content, your personality is what sets you apart.

REMEMBER:

There’s MILLIONS of people on Threads.

BUT, there’s only ONE YOU.

Take advantage of it.

When you show your personality, people are more likely to engage, follow, and stick around. Here’s how to infuse personality into your posts:

  • Make jokes

  • Share wins AND losses

  • Write like you talk

  • Be weird (in a good way)

  • Share unfiltered thoughts

Why Personality Matters:

  • It Builds Relationships: People don’t follow accounts; they follow people. If your content feels authentic, followers feel like they know you.

  • It Makes Content Memorable: Facts are everywhere, but when delivered with personality, they stick.

  • It Sets You Apart: There’s only one YOU on Threads. Use that to your advantage.

That’s it for today!

I hope you learned something.

See you on Threads!

Until then,

KEEP CREATING
