READ TIME: 2,5 Minutes

Happy Sundy Creator!

Today, I will write about something that every Threads creator wants: standing out.

It’s noisy out there.

Every day, thousands of posts flood the platform.

It’s hard to stand out in the sea of creators.

But there is ways and methods to do it.

One way, is striving to be the “Go-to creator” in your niche.

That’s the topic for today.

So grab your potatoes and enjoy!

Defining “Go-to Creator”

First, let’s define it.

It’s simple: You’re the first person people think of when they need help in your niche.

You’re trusted, consistent, and deliver so much value that people actively seek you out.

When people think of your niche, they think of you.

Here’s how you can become one 👇️

Get crystal clear on your niche

One of the biggest mistakes I see new creators make, is trying to write for everyone.

When you try to write for everyone, the result usually becomes that you write for no one.

Sad but true.

Instead, get specific.

Define your niche clearly and deeply and ask yourself:

  • Who is my ideal audience?

  • What specific problem can I help them solve?

  • How can I position myself uniquely in this space?

Examples:

Don’t just do “fitness”, do “Fitness for men over 50 years old” or “Fitness for busy moms.

Not just “personal finance”, but “investing for people between 18-30.

See what I did there? I turned a broad niche into a more specific one.

Consistently Share High-Value Content

This is the most important step.

To consistently provide HIGH VALUE content.

If you show up every day with posts that solves problems or provide some type of value, people will start to see you as a reliable source.

They KNOW what they can get from you, and they KNOW that it can help them.

People see you as THE go-to creator in your niche.

But how do I provide value through my content?

There’s infinite ways to provide value through a post.

Most commonly, it’s through: Actionable tips, sharing knowledge, templates, stories, sharing experiences, insights, lessons from other people and so on.

Optimally, you write long-form posts (multiple threads), since there is more text for you to present your value.

In a recent newsletter, I wrote about “How to write effective long-form posts

Where I go in-depth on how to write them, all the way from the hook to an ending CTA.

You can check it out HERE

Let’s continue:

Here’s a quick trick that will net you 20+ High-quality content ideas.
  • Take a paper or open a blank document

  • Write down 20 problems that your ideal follower/audience can have or face.

  • The problems can be anything that comes to your mind, big or small, hard to solve, simple to solve. Anything.

Congrats, Now you have 20 great content ideas that you can expand on.

Let’s say you do a long-form for each problem.

That’s 5 long-forms per week for a month!

Trust me: When I say that providing value is the single most important factor when it comes to becoming a “Go-to creator”.

Be Consistent with Your Brand and Message

As a Threads creator, everything you do, post, say, write will contribute to your brand - Whether you like it or not.

Your audience should know exactly what to expect when they come across your profile or posts.

This actually builds trust and familiarity, which are essential to becoming the go-to creator in your niche.

There’s usually two things that builds your brand more than anything:

Your Writing Voice: This is simply how you write.

Every person writes in their unique language - Find your language.

If you’ve followed a creator for a long time, you can read a post from them, and you immediately know it’s theirs - even without seeing their name attached.

This is what “Writing Voice” is all about.

You have to ask yourself:

Do I want to write in a casual and conversational style? Or authoritative and professional? Or in any other style?

There’s no right or wrong here, pick one or two styles and keep it consistent.

The second thing that builds your brand is:

Visual Identity: This is how your profile and posts look visually.

A brand colour, special post structures, specific emojis that you use, and so on.

In other words, something that makes you unique.

The goal here, is to have a consistent visual identity.

So that every piece of content you create should feel like it’s unmistakably you.

If you use certain structures, emojis, or colors, keep them consistent across your posts.

Also:

Stick to your message: Don’t try to be everything to everyone.

Focus on YOUR message.

This will build a strong brand and people will associate you with the message and niche.

A quick tip: Review your recent posts. Do they align with the brand you want to build? If not, it’s time to refine your approach.

Summary

  • Define your niche: Get specific about who you’re serving and what problems you’re solving.

  • Provide value: Write 3-5 long-form posts per week that provides value and solves problems.

  • Build your brand: Find your own style when it comes to formatting and post-structures. Also write in your own langauage.

  • Be patient: Nothing happens overnight, be patient and consistent.

If you do these things, people will start seeking out to you and they are going to see you as the “Go-to creator” in your niche.

That’s it for today!

Thank you for reading!

Until next week,
Keep creating.
